  • The website needs to be updated with the 2019 events
  • The photo gallery needs to be updated with the photos from facebook
• Fundraising Pitches: Many of our members had ideas about what to raise money for. Here were their ideas:
  • Note in the Pocket
    • Provides clothes for impoverished children
    • Delivered 109,000 pieces of clothing
    • Partners with Wake County Public School System
    • Donations can be made in the form of money or clothes
  • Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
    • Helps cancer patients by giving them money and support
    • Funds cancer research
  • Big Brother Big Sister
    • Helps kids in poverty
    • Provides basic necessities to families
    • Local organization
  • Feeding America
    • Provides food to people across America
    • Has over 2 billion volunteers
  • Autism Society of North Carolina
    • Hosts a camp for children with disabilities
    • Educates communities about Autism
  • Lucy Daniels Center
    • Helps children with mental and emotional health problems
    • Various volunteering opportunities are available through the center
    • They will use the money for a new playground, funding for minority children, or funding for a learning garden
• The main two organizations picked were Big Brother Big Sister and Note in the Pocket
• For Note in the Pocket we will be holding a Coat Drive
  • Goal: 100 Coats
  • Members must bring in two coats which can be lightly worn or new
• The rest of our fundraising will be done for Big Brother Big Sister
  • Goal: $10,000
• Cary Diwali:
  • Raffles
    • Members can visit local stores to ask for raffle prizes. Members should give them a flyer and explain what DOC NC does.

  • Henna
  • Face Painting
• Amber and Anika held trivia
• WE (Wisdom Exchange) Program
  • Interested members had a short meeting after the main meeting
