NC GreenPower is a nonprofit organization that aims to improve the quality of our state’s environment by supporting renewable energy, carbon offset projects, and providing grants for solar installations at K-12 schools
This is an organization which serves working, low income families who are at a crisis point and need support. It provides necessary resources and links to local services to offer temporary, emergency help. Their goal is to assist families in achieving economic and personal self-sufficiency.
To further our impact on the community, DOC NC offered workshops every weekend from October to January. Classes were around one hour, focusing on various educational, creative, and fun topics taught by DOC NC members, as well as members of the Raleigh Charter High School Key Club.
As a part of Weekend Workshops, DOC NC members Sarayu and Mackenzie held a Halloween Special with lots of fun and engaging activities.
This year marked DOC NC’s 10th Anniversary! Although we were under a lot of limitations, we planned a really fun show for DOC NC members, senior citizens, and the community. Representatives from our past beneficiaries spoke about DOC NC’s hard work, and we watched a series of entertaining performances!
DOC NC members Simrika Joshi and Diya Mool started a Pen Pal Project where participants have the opportunity to make an impact in someone’s life during these tough times.
Following DOC NC’s mission to reduce poverty by supporting ‘A Doorway To Hope’, DOC NC members Sania and Somya have started an initiative to collect essential household items in baskets to provide for these families.
DOC NC donated 5 household essential items baskets to A Doorway To Hope along with other items! Thank you to everyone who donated and helped with this initiative.
