Every holiday season, DOCNC participates in fundraising for the Toys for Tots campaign. We use all proceeds collected by our members in this fundraiser to buy toys, giving them to the fire department for collection and distribution. At our Fire Department Luncheons in November 2024 and 2025, we presented $3000 worth of toys at each!

Toys for Tots is a program ran by the Marine Corps to donate toys to children in need. These children’s families cannot afford many gifts on Christmas day, so in the months leading up to Christmas every year, money and toys are donated to this program and distributed among whichever kids are in need of them. DOCNC’s partnership with Toys for Tots every year culminates in a mass donation to the fire department, which then delivers the toys to the Toys for Tots national organization.
